Betsy with her husband Dennis and sons Eric and Iain
Betsy's husband Dennis, an architectural historian, is a Vice-Chairman of the new Metropolitan Waterworks Museum and a member of the Massachusetts Historical Commission.
Her sons Iain (right) and Eric (left) both went to Brookline schools starting with BEEP, then Lincoln and the High School. Both were in SWS. Iain was on the wresting and rugby teams. Eric was on the sailing team and was a theater "techie." From sixth grade on, Eric was that kid who could (and did) always solve his parent’s computer problems.
Eric has a Ph.D from NYU in neuro-economics and is currently a post-doctorate researcher at the Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon, Portugal. Iain has done fMRI brain scanning research relating to schizophrenia and dyslexia at MGH and will complete his Ph.D in neuroscience, specializing in speech cognition, at Georgetown University, this June.
Betsy and Dennis have no idea where all that came from. However, Eric and Iain both took the "Mind-Body" course at the High School.
