Betsy De Witt
to run for selectman

After 20 years as Executive Director of the Brookline Community Fund, now the Brookline Community Foundation, Betsy De Witt is stepping down this spring to run for Brookline Selectman.

“In addition to my work with the Community Foundation, my service to the town has included being Lincoln School PTO President during the campaign to build the new Lincoln School, as well as 20 years in Town Meeting, including chairing the Advisory Committee. Currently I serve on the Committee on Town Organization and Structure. During my Presidency of BIC, Brookline’s non-profit affordable housing corporation, we converted two buildings into 23 new affordable dwellings. I believe I can offer the broad range of leadership and experience necessary to serve Brookline well”, says De Witt. “I have always cared deeply about our Town and its future.”
